Terms
Last updated 5 October 2026.
These are the terms for using Nudge. They are written to be read. By installing the extension or creating an account you agree to them.
The most important thing on this page
Nudge is a helper, not a guarantee. It reads your email with software, and software misreads things. It can miss a deadline, extract the wrong date, or tag an action to the wrong child. You remain responsible for your own and your children's school obligations. Treat Nudge as a second pair of eyes, never as the only one.
We say this first because the entire point of the product is to stop you missing things, and it would be dishonest to bury the limits of that in clause 14.
What Nudge is
A Chrome extension that reads the school email in your own Gmail tab, highlights what needs action, extracts deadlines, and reminds you before they are due. It runs in your browser. It requires Google Chrome on a desktop or laptop computer.
Nudge only reads your mailbox. It does not archive, delete, label, mark as read, reply, or send.
Who may use it
- You must be 13 or older to create an account. Creating one requires confirming this.
- If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.
- You must have the right to access the mailbox you point Nudge at. Do not use it on someone else's email without their knowledge.
- A school or employer Google account may be managed by an administrator who blocks outside applications. That is their setting; Nudge cannot and should not override it.
Your account
Sorting works without an account. Signing in with Google gives better sorting and is how a paid plan is attached to you. Keep your Google account secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete your account in the extension. It is a real deletion, described in the Privacy page.
Paid plans, renewal and cancellation
- Paid plans are subscriptions that renew automatically until cancelled, at the price and interval shown on the checkout page before you pay.
- Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see your card details.
- You can cancel at any time, online, in the same place you manage the subscription: Settings → Manage billing. Cancelling is not harder than subscribing, and we will never require you to phone or email to cancel.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- If we change the price or anything else material about a plan, we will tell you before it takes effect, and you can cancel.
Refunds
If Nudge did not work for you, email us within 30 days of a charge and we will refund it. No form, no reason required. This is in addition to any refund right you have under the law where you live, which these terms do not take away.
What we ask of you
- Do not use Nudge to break the law or to access an account you have no right to.
- Do not attempt to overwhelm, reverse-engineer around, or abuse the service or its usage limits.
- Do not resell access to Nudge.
Limits of the service
Nudge depends on Gmail's page structure, on Google's sign-in, and on an AI model. Any of those can change or be unavailable, and when they are, Nudge may degrade or stop working for a time. We will not always know in advance.
Reminders are shown as Chrome notifications on the computer where Nudge is installed. They are not text messages or emails, and they will not reach you if that computer is off.
No warranty, and the limit of our liability
Nudge is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will find every deadline, that every date it extracts is correct, or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Nudge is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including a missed deadline, a late fee, or a missed school event.
Some places do not allow these limits to be excluded. Where that is true, these terms do not restrict rights you have that cannot be restricted.
Ending it
You can stop using Nudge at any time by removing the extension, and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or end an account that is abusing the service or using it unlawfully; except where that is not practical, we will tell you why.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we will say so here with a new date and notify you in the extension before the change takes effect for you. Continuing to use Nudge after that means you accept the change. If you do not, cancel and we will refund the unused part of your current period.
Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing anything, please email us: most problems are a misunderstanding and can be fixed in a day. Nothing here prevents you from bringing a claim in small claims court, or from contacting a consumer-protection authority where you live.
